Day News

The “United National Movement” Khashuri Majority Deputy candidate Sergo Khitiashvili talked about reasons of his decision to withdraw his candidacy on the briefing held in the central office of the party.

According to him the mentioned decision was a result of a pressure carried out by political opponents.

“No matter of repeated warns sent to political opponents to refrain from violence, blackmailing, physical and verbal abuses, unfortunately, open aggression continues as towards my staff, as well as towards the precinct election commission members. In these conditions our work in Khashuri is impossible, therefore, I together with my friends made a decision to refuse to participate in the elections. I hope not a single fact of violence will be left without reaction and will be followed by legal actions”, - Sergo Kitiashvili said.

The movement refrains from any additional comment for this stage.
