Occupied regions of Georgia are expecting recognition from new government of the country. They say, this is the only way for Ivanishvili to establish normal relations with Russia too.
According to the statement of the official representative of Abkhazian marionette regime, Kristian Bjania, they expect only problems from Georgia.
“Georgia never had a government, which we could believe… We expect only one thing from Georgia – recognition of our independence. But it is unknown yet, when such a power will come to the government”, - Bjania said.
He added that Sokhumi is not going to have any relations with new authorities of Georgia and they expect first steps from Tbilisi. As for position of Tskhinvali region, the representative of the so-called, Foreign Affairs Department, Albina Chikhoeva said that nothing will be changed in relationships till all the presidents of Georgia see this region as occupied territories.
“Improving relations is possible only if Georgia recognizes the independence of South Ossetia and sees it as an equal state”, - chikhoeva said.
