The President of Georgia and the NATO Secretary General had a phone conversation on today. The mentioned information is reported by the president’s administration. 

Mikheil Saakashvili and Anders Fogh Rasmussen have talked about the elections held in Georgia.  

“According to assessment of the Secretary General, today is a historic moment for the development of Georgian democracy. He congratulated the President of Georgia on holding free and fair elections and reaffirmed his support for Georgia’s integration in NATO. He noted that Georgia’s integration in NATO is an irreversible process and the country is being given an opportunity to make important steps on this road”, - is said in the released announcement.
