Mikheil Saakashvili: the backbone of country’s success and independence is power engineering
According to the assessments of Georgian President Mikheil
Saakashvili, many things are being done well in Georgia. The backbone of country’s
success and independence is energetics.
The president made statement about this, today, while being in Svaneti
region, on the opening of “Neskra power plant” construction.
According to Mikheil
Saakashvili, Georgia
has one of the most reliable gas supply and own hydropower in the world.
“It seems, the independent Georgia is able to build. We found
out the taste of independence. Our invader is most afraid of the fact, that
Georgian people have built everything by their hands and thus, we do not need
them. Power engineering is a backbone of Georgia’s independence and success.
If we had hung over them today, as we had in 2005, we would have waved to
independent Georgia
from a distance,” – Saakashvili said.
Georgian president, Mikheil Saakashvili and the Minister of energy and
natural resources, Alexander Khetaguri, laid foundation for the “Nenskra Plant”
today.
The Power plant will be built by the Chinese company “Sinohydro”.
Construction of the Nenskra river hydropower plant with a seasonal adjustment
will be finished in 5 years.
