Constitutional amendments will be considered in the parliament

Today, at the plenary session of the parliament, the constitutional changes will be considered with the first reading.

According to the amendments, citizen of EU member countries, who wants to participate in elections of our country, must live in Georgia for last three years permanently.

In particular, according to the bill, in elections until 1 January, 2015, may take part persons, citizens of EU member countries, who were born in Georgia and lived here totally of 10 years and for last three years permanently.

According to assessments of the parliamentary majority, it is an important term for those, who do not have citizenship of Georgia, but want to be participant in political processes of our country.
