On the inauguration day, Vladimir Putin signed one of the most important resolutions, “about the measures of implementation of Russian Federation’s foreign policy course”, one of the items of which relates to Russian policy direction regarding Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

In particular, in his first decree, Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Minister to actively contribute “to the process of formation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia Republic’s as modern democratic states, to the process of strengthening their international positions, ensuring reliable security for them and their socio- economic recovery” – the Russian media quotes.

According to Russian experts’ assessments, with it, Putin has once again proved that he is not going to revise course of Abkhazia and “South Ossetia’s” independence from Georgia.
