Assembly of world’s Georgians is being created

According to the statement of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, a Senate of Georgian people throughout the world will be elected and an Assembly created in the next few months.

The mentioned initiative was announced by the president during a meeting with Georgians living abroad.

According to the First Person of the State, the whole world’s Georgians’ Assembly headquarters will be located in Tbilisi.

“Regular sessions will be carried out. This will be the voice sent by our compatriots from all over the world to Georgia and from Georgia to the whole world. We are going to open Sunday schools everywhere. In this regard, Georgian church helps us very much. We are going to organize gatherings of the Diaspora everywhere. Also, we have made decision that in the next few months, to elect the Senate of Georgian people throughout the world”, - Saakashvili said.
