Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry releases comment in response to the reaction of Georgian side on statement of Vladimir Putin made on August 8.

“Russia’s, as a responsible mediator and peacekeeper’s, role not just meant, but also directly obligate us to take into consideration repeated attempts to solve the conflict by force. Accordingly, the military plans, in response to the military action of Tbilisi, have been developed. We managed to repulse unprecedented attack by its size and brutality of Georgian side mostly due to it”, - is said in the statement.

The reaction of Tbilisi was called “Hysteria” in the Ministry and they threaten that “it is better for Tbilisi to calm down”:  “Such a reaction once again confirms that they did not realize the failure of the August criminal venture and still have revanchist ideas against long-suffering people of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. These ideas cannot come true. Thus, it is better revengers to be calmed down”, - is said in the official statement of the Russian Foreign Department, which is published on the web-page of the Ministry.
