Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava inspected progress of the state insurance program himself. According to him, the main aim is to provide the insurance people with service of full value. “Since 90-ies the state has not been taking responsibility for its own citizens. Today, a new stage is started, when we are trying not to leave the part of the population, which is in need, without medical insurance”, - Ugulava said. According to him, the next stage will cover the middle-aged people. “The state will ensure each person with a minimal insurance”, - he added. The new state insurance program is launched from today. Children under age 6, students, disabled persons and pensioners will benefit from insurance full package service.
