Today Georgian Orthodox Apostolic Church celebrates the Ever-Virgin Mary’s birth. The solemn mass has been conducted from the morning in all the churches of the Georgia.     

Before that, together with Holy Synod, Georgian Catholics- Patriarch, the Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia IIconducted Khakhuli Virgin Mary icon prayer.  

The holiness is presented in the Museum of Art from 1952. The Catholics-Patriarch of Georgia donated to Khakhuli Virgin Mary icon jubilee Golden piece specially made for head of Georgian Orthodox Church by ores factory, relics storage, golden egg and a plant brought form the holy land.
