Moldova Prime-Minister arrives in Georgia to get familiar with the reform of Georgian police

Moldova Prime-Minister Vladimir Filat will visit Georgia with an official visit to become familiar with the steps of reforms in law enforcement agencies. He made statement regarding this on press-conference held today. Moldova representative will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili too.    

According to the Premier, the aim of the official visit will be conducting talks with Georgian government, which will be connected to the Internal Affairs Ministry. 

“For us reforms in Legal institutions and fight against corruption are especially important. These are the main priorities of our government”, - Filat said.  

According to him, “Georgian experience shows that exactly implementation of the reforms lead to the trust of 87% of the population towards law enforcement authorities, which is the best index in this sphere in the international practice.”  

According to the statement of the Premier, talks will be started from July 9 and Georgian government will be actively involved in them.
