Salome Makharadze: Bacho Akhalaia remains Defence Minister for now

The Defence Ministry press-service has no information about possible appointment of the Minister Bacho Akhalaia on the position of Internal Affairs Ministry of Georgia.

As the head of the Ministry press-service, Salome Makharadze, said to “”, Bacho Akhalaia remains Defense Minister for now. 

“I don’t know where the Minister is now, but I can surely tell you that today Bacho Akhalaia remains Defence Minister”, - the press-service said. 

In political circles, Bacho Akhalaia’s candidature is being considered on the vacant position of Interior Minister.
