Restoration works continues in Alaverdi Monastery complex. Restorers are conducting rehabilitation of eastern façade. Throughout the perimeter of the temple restoration of the destroyed stone dado and damaged windows existed in the dome. At this stage, conservation of the tomb discovered several years ago is already completed.   In Alaverdi monastery complex, simultaneously to the monument protection and safety projects, creation of modern infrastructure and new tourism components is being carried out too.   
Sour milk house, café and souvenir shop financed by the World Bank and Kakheti development state fund, will be arranged on the territory of the monastery. 
According to the terms of cultural heritage protection 2012 program, current phase of rehabilitation of Alaverdi will be completed by the end of September.
