The officers of General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained Gela Goshadze, the former senior inspector-investigator of Qutaisi Police Division of Imereti-Racha Lechkhumi and Qvemo Svaneti Regional Main Division.
According to the information of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Georgia, he is accused of the misuse of power.
“While working in Qutaisi Police Division Gela Goshadze received a report regarding the committed crime but did not make any reaction and concealed the crime.
The investigation was launched under the article 332 envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia. Investigation is conducted by the officers of General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the acting legislation the committed crime envisages up to three years of imprisonment”, - is said in the statement of the department.
