Day News

A 15-year-old gang member appeared, shooting a 14-month-old child, while he was held in the hands of her father.

15-year-old Donald Ray Dokins, a suspected member of the Fudgetown Mafia Crip gang.

It is unclear why Dokins opened fire and shooting Angel Cortez Nava in the stomach. The baby’s father, Mauro Cortez, was hit in the left shoulder but survived.

Cortes was allegedly wearing a purple shirt, the color of Fudgetown Mafia Crip’s rival gang.

But,  police claim that Cortez is not in a gang and that the t-shirt was not Dokin’s motive. "Another man in the crowd, however, was reportedly wearing a purple shirt at the time of the shooting." - said police representative.
